Weight-for-weight, saffron is three times more expensive than gold. Its exquisite, soft, fragrant taste is admired by chefs all over the world and in every type of cuisine. We don’t have to go as far as Iran or India for our saffron. A tiny amount is grown commercially here in Cornwall. The saffron gives our rum its trademark yellow colour and also the softest, most subtle spicing you’ll ever taste.
